Secrecy capacity of wireless channels subject to log-normal fading
نویسنده
چکیده
In this paper, the information-theoretic secrecy for the log-normal fading channel is investigated. In particular, the closed-form expressions of the probability of strictly positive secrecy capacity are derived for two wireless communication systems, with single eavesdropper and double eavesdroppers, respectively. Keywords-Information-theoretic secrecy, log-normal fading, secrecy capacity.

Doctoral Thesis Performance of Physical Layer Security under Correlated Fading Wire-Tap Channel
The inherent openness of wireless medium makes information security one of the most important and difficult problems in wireless networks. Physical layer security, which achieves the information-theoretic security by exploiting the differences between the physical properties of signal channels such that a degraded signal at an eavesdropper is always ensured and thus the original data can be har...
متن کاملDefeating the Eavesdropper: On the Achievable Secrecy Capacity Using Reconfigurable Antennas
In this paper, we consider the transmission of confidential messages over slow fading wireless channels in the presence of an eavesdropper. We propose a transmission scheme that employs a single reconfigurable antenna at each of the legitimate partners, whereas the eavesdropper uses a single conventional antenna. A reconfigurable antenna can switch its propagation characteristics over time and ...
متن کاملSecret key Capacity for Wireless Nakagami and Suzuki Fading Channels
Security of wireless transmission is a great challenge in secure communications. Classical methods are based on cryptographic algorithms. These methods require a secret key that must be generated securely between associated parties in communication. Another approach to security is based on wiretap channel concept and is applicable for wireless communications. Because of rather small secrecy cap...
متن کاملWireless Information-Theoretic Security - Part I: Theoretical Aspects
In this two-part paper, we consider the transmission of confidential data over wireless wiretap channels. The first part presents an information-theoretic problem formulation in which two legitimate partners communicate over a quasi-static fading channel and an eavesdropper observes their transmissions through another independent quasi-static fading channel. We define the secrecy capacity in te...
متن کاملPhysical Layer Secrecy Performance Analysis over Rayleigh/Nakagami Fading Channels
1 Abstract—The broadcast nature of wireless communications makes it vulnerable to attack or eavesdropping. Therefore, information security is an important issue in wireless communications, especially in distributed networks such as wireless sensor networks and ad hoc wireless networks. In this paper, we present the physical layer secrecy performance analysis of singleinput single-output (SISO) ...
